Print Display

The prints for award winners of year 2009/2010 are being displayed in the Rotary Centre for the Arts.  It is my understanding they will be displayed for the month of July.  Hopefully the award winning prints for 2010/2011 will be displayed earlier than last year’s.

Boat for Hope – Thank-you

I would like to thank those members that came out and shot the Boat for Hope festivities.  It was a long day for most of us, however we were treated to food and beverage at a BBQ hosted by the Kelowna Yacht Club.  The images are now in the hands of Frank Miletto, who is producing a slide show for the yacht club, Variety Village and our club.

Summer Outing – July 23 – 10am

Wayne and Donna O’Connell would like to host a similar outing on Saturday, July 23rd.  Starting at 10:00 a.m. in the down town core.  They are proposing a “Scavenger Hunt” in a photo style shoot.   They have participated in this type of adventure before and say that it is a lot of fun.  They are also suggesting a quick lunch together during the “Hunt”.  If you are interested please let me know.  They will come up with a meeting place if the idea is acceptable.

Summer Outings – July 21 – 5 pm

I had a quick response to my request for someone to host a summer outing.  Karen Slivar has suggested that we meet at the Kelowna Art Gallery on Thursday  July 21st at 5:00 p.m.  There is an exhibition of Montreal based photographer Gabor Szilasi.  Admission to the gallery is $5.00 plus HST.  We could then head out and take some street shots.  If you are interested please let me know.
