Feb. 6: Stay In and Shoot

Carly Slater will lead a  fun night of hands on photography! We will break into small groups to take turns photographing a subject in a short period of time during the first half of the evening. Then during the second half of the night we will view some of our favourite images on the projector. We will compare each group’s favourite captures, and to see how the compositions and viewpoints of the same subject can vary depending on who took the image. Please bring:

Lens appropriate for the subject type you chose on the members only FB page Poll (if you picked Macro, bring a lens or extension tubes that will allow you to shoot macro images.) A wide aperture (small f-stop number) lens will help you to capture good quality images in the low light conditions of the COPS meeting space.
Bring a tripod if you have one.
If you’d like to bring small flash(es), you are welcome to but it’s not imperative.

Also … don’t forget the Feb. 6th is the submission deadline. If submitting prints, bring them to the meeting. Digital image submissions must be emailed no later than midnight.
